When God’s Plans Are Greater Than Our Own

When God’s Plans Are Greater Than Our Own

As I always say, God’s plans are so much greater than our own plans. If someone had asked me two years ago where I would be today, I could never have imagined this path. At that time, I was 20kg overweight, I had never run a race in my life, and I didn’t even know how to swim. There was nothing in my past that suggested I would become an endurance athlete, let alone compete among the best in the world.

But God does not need a qualified person — He qualifies the chosen.

Today, I received a milestone that I never dreamed possible: I am currently ranked third in the world in the IUTA 2025 calendar, among the most experienced ultra triathletes on Earth.

This is something that only God could have written.

Not By My Strength

People often look at results and assume discipline, talent, or athletic background — but my truth is the opposite. It was not me, it has never been me. God opened every door, sustained every step, and gave strength where human logic would say it’s impossible.

The Bible already teaches this very clearly:

1 Corinthians 1:27

“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; and God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.”

This verse is not a metaphor in my life — it is exactly what I am living. God took someone with no athletic foundation and placed me among the strongest endurance athletes in the world, not so that my name would be exalted, but so that His name would be glorified.

The Real Secret

People always ask me:

“What is your secret?”

And my answer will always be the same:

my knees on the ground.

Every day, before I train, before I plan, before anything else, I surrender everything to Jesus Christ. My training is physical, but my foundation is spiritual.

I don’t follow a human plan, I don’t chase a specific goal — I simply surrender my life to Jesus and do my best each day.

My tomorrow belongs to Him.

Faith and Endurance

Endurance athletes know that the mind is often more important than the body. But what I learned is that faith is above both. When human strength ends, the supernatural begins.

Endurance sports taught me about resistance, perseverance, sacrifice and limits — but faith taught me purpose.

In every race, in every kilometer, in every moment of exhaustion, I understand that God is shaping not only an athlete, but a testimony.

All Honor and All Glory

Everything that has happened — victories, rankings, competitions — is only possible because of Him. My journey is not proof of talent, it is proof of grace.

So today, with all my heart, I declare:

ALL HONOR AND ALL GLORY TO JESUS CHRIST.

May this story encourage everyone who feels unqualified, weak, or unprepared. God specializes in impossible stories. And endurance is not about racing — it’s about believing, trusting, and surrendering.
